It’s baaaaaack! Haven’t made your way to Lamb Jam yet? Picture this: 16 of Seattle’s most talent chefs come together to celebrate the 80,000 family-operated sheep farms and ranches in the U.S. through their personal culinary prowess. Joining them are Seattle’s best brewers, winemakers and bartenders – bringing the A-game of their respective crafts to local gastronomes and the culinarily curious. All of these the ingredients for one of my favorite events of the year: Seattle Lamb Jam.
I’ve made no secret of my love of lamb. My earliest memories include succulent roasted leg-of-lamb adorned with a dollop of mint jelly nestled with crispy fingerling potatoes. Thus, it should come as no surprise that my call-to-judge Seattle’s American Lamb Jam in 2017 was met with a personal symphony of woots and hollers. Having attended many Lamb Jam’s in the past, this opportunity to judge (and my continued role in 2018) may be the juiciest of the feathers in my culinary cap.
Why attend? Lamb Jam pits top Seattle chefs head-to-head with the task of creating the tastiest lamb-centric creation in the city. As an attendee, your ticket not only gives you full access to mix-and-mingle with like minded lamb lovers while tasting these culinary creations (and boozy accompaniments), but also gives you the opportunity to chime in with your personal fan favorite vote.
